Parvez resides in Oakville with his wife Shahana and his two sons. He was born and brought up in Shillong and is an ex-Edmundian. After completing a degree in Agricultural Sciences and Management Studies in India, he worked for a couple of years with the Government. He landed in Canada a few days before 9/11. Parvez is a Public Health Specialist and is employed with the City of Hamilton. He loves camping and the outdoors.
Bhagat is an IT professional with over 12 years of global technology experience concentrating on enterprise infrastructure management and service delivery in various private and government sectors like insurance, healthcare and municipal law enforcement. Working in Peel Regional Police – IT Projects & Business Solutions, he is committed to make significant contributions to the success & growth of the organization by delivering the best solutions. Bhagat loves travelling, kayaking, swimming and various other outdoor/indoor activities. He is also a member of ASIAN – ISN (Internal Support Group in PRP) and is passionate about promoting diversity, cross-culturing learning & connections, awareness & inclusivity. Bhagat truly believes “We make a LIVING by what we get, but we make a LIFE by what we give” (Winston Churchill).
Manas is a practicing neuroradiologist at the London Health Sciences Centre and Associate Professor at the Western University.
A long standing member of the community, Manas, has played a key role in providing leadership to achieve the vision & mission of the organization that has hugely benefited the community. He has been an important stakeholder in consolidating and building our strong track record of partnership within and outside the community to support new collaborative initiatives. He has a successful history within the Assamese Community in Canada for many of the past years and has also served as a Director of the Board for the Assam Association of North America (AANA) Convention 2017 held in Toronto. He is the current Secretary, East Canada chapter for AANA.
Manas lives in London, ON with his wife and two daughters. He has a passion for music and loves to entertain his family and friends at their home.
With a vast experience in the Technology sector of the corporate world, Vase’s specialty lies in Service Delivery through Technology Management for Global Operations. She currently leads Operational Support Strategy and Optimization for Lifion with a focus to drive global operational expansion for improved strategic positioning and better customer service. Throughout her career, Vase has worked for many Fortune 500 companies around the globe helping them make the best use of technology to solve business problems thus promoting growth. She is the Regional Director for iWIN (International Women’s Inclusion Network) Canada, a Business Resource Group for corporate women in her company. She uses this capacity to promote a culture of empowering women ‘to sit at the table’. She sits at the Board as a Director for Achév and Chair for the Governance & Nominating as well the Halton learning Foundation. Vase holds the title of the Board of Governor for the prestigious Canada India Foundation. She is also a member of the famed Dean’s Society of Rotman and has led many Canada-India technology initiatives for stronger bi-lateral ties between the two democracies.
Vase lives in Oakville, ON with her entrepreneur husband. She loves to travel to see new places and learn about people, culture and habits. ‘Learning’ never stops fascinating her and it keeps her grounded and going! She loves to golf and to challenge herself with the precision of the game.
